Introduction to Career and Experience
Gert is a dedicated Multi-Hybrid Cloud Architect and problem-solver based in Westerlo, Belgium, with deep expertise in VMware environments, AWS, and Azure. A multilingual instructor fluent in Dutch and English, he brings extensive real-world consulting experience to the classroom. Gert has successfully managed and architected critical infrastructures for local governments, healthcare academies, and large enterprise clients, making him a highly customer-focused professional and a strong advocate for modern multi-hybrid cloud strategies.
Training, Architecture, and Enablement
Gert consistently goes above and beyond standard course materials by integrating his active consulting experience. He maintains a dedicated physical lab environment running vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Operations Manager, and VCF to bring hands-on, real-world scenarios directly to his students. His architectural achievements include pioneering the automation of student POD deployments using AWS and PowerCLI for the Philips Healthcare Academy (running in production across multiple AWS regions), as well as specializing in VCF, vSphere migrations, and Veeam backup implementations.
